Healthy Homemade Cheez-Its
Audra Elizabeth made these Cheeze-Its the other week and, me-oh-my, they are so delicious! They are a healthy alternative to the little orange square crackers. I've seen recipes on the internet that include butter and flour; but these are so simple and delicious!
Sargento ULTRA THIN cheese slices - I used colby jack, but any variety would do. Don't use regular sliced cheese - it is too thick!
Preheat oven to 250
I used a pizza cutter to cut each slice into four pieces
Line cookie sheets with parchment paper and place quartered slices on it so they are not touching
Bake for 35 minutes
Remove from oven and let cool while on the parchment paper
The longer you leave them out, the crispier they become
You may not have many to store, because - they are delicious! I ate several while they were cooling (as pictured above!) They are addictive!
